1. Data controller

The controller of your personal data is JapanTrade s.r.o., Company ID 22648950, VAT ID CZ22648950, registered office Jana Černého 366/1, Věkoše, 503 41 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic, registered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Hradec Králové under file no. 2. What data we process

We only process the data you provide to us yourself through the inquiry form, by e-mail or by phone: your name, e-mail address, phone number (if provided) and the content of your message.

3. Purpose and legal basis

We use your data solely to handle your inquiry and for the related communication. The legal basis is taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use your data for marketing communication unless you give us separate consent.

4. Retention period

We keep your data for as long as necessary to handle your inquiry and the related communication, but no longer than 3 years from the last contact if no contract is concluded. If a contract is concluded, the retention period follows the applicable legal requirements (in particular accounting and tax law).

5. Recipients

We do not share your data with third parties for their own purposes. Only our web hosting and e-mail service providers may have technical access to the data; they process it under a contract and solely on our instructions. We do not transfer data outside the European Union.

6. Cookies and analytics

On your first visit a banner asks for your consent to the use of cookies. We distinguish three categories:

• Necessary – keep the website working: protection of the inquiry form (Cloudflare Turnstile) and remembering your consent choice (the jt-consent item in your browser, valid for 12 months). The legal basis is our legitimate interest; no consent is required for these.
• Analytics – anonymous visit statistics that help us improve the website. Used only with your consent.
• Marketing – campaign measurement and content personalisation across websites. Used only with your consent.

At present no third-party analytics or marketing tool is deployed; if we enable one in the future it will run only after your consent and will be listed here. You can change your choice at any time via "Cookie settings" in the website footer.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have it rectified or erased, to restrict processing, to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can exercise your rights by e-mail at info@japantrade.cz. If you believe we process your data unlawfully, you may lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (uoou.gov.cz).

8. Form protection (Cloudflare Turnstile)

The inquiry form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile (Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, USA; Cloudflare Portugal for the EU), which verifies that the form is not submitted by a bot. During verification Cloudflare processes technical data about your browser and your IP address; Turnstile is not used to track visitors or for advertising. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in protecting the website against spam and abuse (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See the Cloudflare privacy policy.

9. Websites of our projects

The websites and online stores of our individual projects (KanjoWorks, MonoPrint) have their own privacy policies and terms and conditions, which you will find directly on them.
